A total of five players from Illinois will be participating in the all-star games to be played tonight at the Reebok All-American Camp in Philadelphia. The five that were chosen were 6'1 Chris Colvin from Whitney Young High School in Chicago; 6'3 Lenzelle Smith from Zion-Benton High School in Zion, IL; 6'5 Wayne Blackshear from Curie High School in Chicago; 6'7 Mike Shaw and 6'5 Dre Henley, both from De LaSalle Institute in Chicago.
Colvin will participate in the upperclassmen all-star game (for class of 2009 prospects), while Smith, Blackshear, Shaw and Henley will all partake in the underclassmen all-star game. The underclassmen game will tip off upon the conclusion of the camp championship game and will then be followed by the upperclassmen game.
The list of players from Illinois chosen to the Reebok all-star games pretty much concurs with our previous story which indicated the top players at the Reebok All-American Camp based on performance.
