With the Fall signing period now history, it is time to take a look at those prospects from the Class of 2010 in Illinois who will be waiting until Spring to sign a letter of intent. While most of the high major talent is off the board, there are still more than a few players available who we believe have the ability to play at the division I level. The following provides further analysis on who we believe to be the four best unsigned prospects in Illinois from 2010 as well as a run-down on some others who are still on the board.

Phillip Jackson     6'8     PF     Chicago (Hyde Park)

Right now the biggest question is whether or not Jackson will be ruled eligible at Hyde Park this season after transferring there from Providence-St. Mel High School in Chicago. Overall, Jackson's skill set is as good as any frontcourt player in Illinois from the 2010 class. He is highly athletic, runs the floor and finishes, is strong on the glass and also has the ability to face up and knock down shots. His recruitment remains somewhat of a mystery, with there also being the possibility that he could go the JUCO route. Nevertheless, several D1 programs that have offered him have indicated that he is good enough to prop.

DeAndre McCamey     6'1     PG     Westchester (St. Joseph)

Two years ago McCamey was considered by most everyone as one of the top 2010 prospects in Illinois. Unfortunately, after being sidelined for virtually all of last season due to a knee injury, he has now become a mere blip on the recruiting radar of most schools.  However, with a monster season season there is no doubt that he could climb back up the charts. Ball State and Southern Illinois are among the schools that have been previously mentioned.

Anthony Shoemaker     6'6     WF     Joliet (Township)

An athletic wing forward who only needs to add strength and up his level of intensity at times. He is especially adept in the open court because of his ability to handle the ball, get out on the break and finish. In addition, he sports very strong perimeter skills, as he has legitimate 3-point shooting range and moves well without the ball. He is long and therefore covers ground defensively. Could also end up being a JUCO candidate.

Remy Ndiaye     6'6     2G     Lake Forest (Academy)

No one has heard much from Ndiaye lately and he has even been overshadowed somewhat by some of the underclass D1 prospects on the Lake Forest Academy squad, but there is no question that he is a D1 prospect. He has outstanding athleticism as well as the ability to put the ball on the floor and consistently drill shots from beyond the 3-point arc. Like Shoemaker, he has a huge wing span and as a result can defend multiple positions on the floor. He needs to add considerable strength, but we really like his up side.
